Beautifully engraved maps of England and Wales were surveyed and produced between the years 1821 and 1834. This series of maps by C & J Greenwood are considered some of the finest maps of their time. individually dissected and laid on cloth as the original antique folding maps. We make our own frames from moulding hand-finished in our workshop. The standard finish is a distressed black with gold slip inserted. The maps are large, so for weight, shipping, and safety reasons, we use 3 mm acrylic as the glazing material. Made individually to order in our Devon workshop. Light weight and shipped ready to hang.
These extremely rare maps have been in existence since they were originally printed and are not modern reproductions.
