Botancial Illustration of Salsify first published circa 1900 by Jeannie Foord.

The Pochior printing process was developed in Paris in the late 1800s and was a precurser to screen printing. It involved the use on stencils to produce colour prints and was a very labour and time consuming process. Each colour was laid down by hand using a different stencil, one colour on top of the other. With the advent of mechanical colour printing in the 1900s the Pochior process fell out of favour.
