THIS IS A REBUBLISHED PRINT LAID ONTO CLOTH
Ref: Exmoor006, 1611
Botanical illustration from a hand coloured copper engraving of Iris first published in 1611 by J.T. de Bry. Antique illustration framed in our Exmoor wood moulding. Further illustration examples are to show the moulding in green.
Johann Theodor de Bry (1528-1598) was a German engraver and publisher whose botanical illustrations were considered some of the finest of their time.
Frames made from wood taken from an old barn on Exmoor, North Devon. While the wood has been hand finished and waxed we have tried to retain the surface patina gained from years of weathering - exposed to the wind and the rain of the West Country. Each one is different and we have a limited supply.
One framed illustration of Iris first published circa 1611. Pigment ink, archival paper, hand laid on cloth & framed in our Exmoor green barn wood. Illustration is 10 x 15" approx. Additional 1 - 2" including frame. Price includes free U.K shipping.
Pigment ink, archival paper, laid on cloth.
All prices include VAT and free UK shipping. There may be additional charges for shipping outside the UK.
