Our collection of celestial (or star) charts feature the work of Andreas Cellarius (1596 - 1665) from the famous ‘Atlas coelestis seu Harmonia Macrocosmica’ - commonly regarded as one of the most spectacular cosmographical atlases that was published in the second half of the seventeenth century.

All charts are laid on to cloth and, along with the slip cases, are individually made by hand in our Buckinghamshire workshop.

Map & slip case

We have an extensive collection of antique marbled paper dating back to c.1700. All our cases are individually hand made and the papers we use to cover them are printed but reproduced from these beautiful original papers. Marble paper varies - sample swatches below. See marble paper.
