A brief history of folding maps
All maps are laid on to cloth and, along with the slip cases, are individually made by hand in our Buckinghamshire workshop. Small and medium maps available unframed. See slip cases & marble paper.
Standard maps are framed in mouldings which we produce ourselves in hand painted and waxed black. Additionally, the large maps can also be framed in woods such as Birds Eye Maple and Walnut which we veneer in the traditional way. See Framing.
